MINISTRIES

At Redwood Christian Center, our dynamic ministries are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that ministries are not only essential for the growth and well-being of our congregation, but also for reaching out to the wider community and beyond to share the love of God. Through serving and connecting with one another, we want to make a positive impact of love toward each other, our county and our world. God is on the throne, and we want to express that to all who will hear and heed.

Worship Ministry

Our Worship Ministry is going through some restructuring right now. We have worship leaders that are alternating leading us in passionate and uplifting worship services. We have guest worship leaders often that bring us into an atmosphere where people can genuinely connect with God. Those who use their many talents and love for the Lord Jesus Christ lead us into a wonderful time with melodies, harmonies, and colors to produce a rich and engaging worship experience in the presence of the Living God: Jesus Christ.

Children's Ministry

Like a splash of joy and excitement, our Children's Ministry fills our church with laughter, energy, and numerous shades of vibrancy. We believe that investing in the spiritual growth of our children is of utmost importance. Through tending to their unique needs, we aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where young hearts can encounter God's love. Our passionate and dedicated team of volunteers is committed to equipping and empowering the next generation to have a firm foundation in Jesus Christ.

Missions and Outreach Ministry

We are committed to reaching out with compassion, impacting lives, and making a difference in our community and beyond. Several members of our congregation reach out to the disenfranchised, the lonely, and rejected population in Humboldt County. Several are active in participating with Redwood Adult & Teen Challenge Men and Women’s Homes, Eureka Rescue Mission, Mountain of Mercy, and various help organizations, including global missions. We embrace our calling to bring the love and hope of Jesus Christ to those in need and to help people to understand the love of God is for everyone. God’s grace is sufficient for us all.

Prayer Ministry

Our Prayer Ministry seeks to provide a spiritual covering over our church and beyond. We believe in the power of prayer to transform lives and situations. Our dedicated team of prayer warriors faithfully intercedes for our church, our community, and the world. We hold regular prayer meetings twice a week, engage in personal prayer ministry, and offer support to those in need of spiritual guidance.

Prayer Counseling

There are several trained and experienced prayer counselors at Redwood Christian Center that are willing to put time and energy into meeting needs of those who are experiencing grief through loss of any kind, childhood traumas, abuses, and abandonments. If you need help, ask any of the Pastors or Elders, and they will connect you with the right person.

Women’s Ministries

The women of the church meet monthly to enjoy a refreshing time of worship through Bible Study and devotions, a time of fun with games and share a luncheon meal together. Every woman is invited whether they are part of RCC church attendance or not. Billie Jean Nunnally, an amazing woman of God, is the Women’s Coordinator and has a myriad of skills and ideas to promote a wonderful time in the Lord.

Men’s Ministries

Curtis Haynie, Men’s Ministry Coordinator, has inspired many men from the community (pastors and laymen), plus the men of the congregation to come together each Saturday to eat breakfast and share their testimonies of God’s love toward them and their ministries. They have a great time of preaching, teaching and are now planning a mission trip together.
